Mohammad Reza (Manouchehr) Moghtader was our first architect to become interested in Persian Gardens, having the most extensive archive of photos of classical Persian Gardens, many of which were disappearing, and also the first and most profound scholar on the subject. He lived in Paris and it was impossible to invite him to the International Conference on the Persian Garden which I convened at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art in 2004.
This is a one hour film, directed by Farhad Daryoush who lets Moghtader share with us his knowledge of the Persian Garden, as well as the recommendation of UNESCO for safeguarding historical gardens. This was the film I used for the closing of the conference.
