It was our friend Abbas Kiarostami who brought us a small children’s book by Kambouzia Partovi and suggested to Dariush to make it into a film. It is the story of a little boy who fights a boar and comes out a victorious young adult. For us it was tantamount to David’s fight against Goliath! Unfortunately, the chasing of the boar scenes were all shot at night and although we were assured the negatives were very special and sensitive, all these most important and exciting scenes came out dark… so the film was not a great success.
