For the International Conference on New Towns, convened by Dr Iraj Etessam in Tehran, Kamran Diba could not come to Tehran to participate, although he was the architect of our most successful example of new towns, Shoushtar e Noe, so I decided to have Farhad Daryoush interview him and make a 20-min film where Diba would explain all his design principles in this project which was awarded an Honorable Mention in the prestigious Aga Khan Awards in Architecture in 1980.
