Competition First Prize for French School in Tehran.
The French school of Tehran, Razi, was confiscated by the Government at the beginning of the Revolution, and in exchange the French were given a 5000 square meter land in northern Tehran. Finally in 2009 the French School – temporarily accommodated in the English Residence grounds in containers and prefabricated classes – decided to hold an invited competition for building a new French School in Tehran.
Gamma was one of the 9 firms invited and won the First Prize in this competition. We managed to fit in the very detailed and strict program of the school, from kinder garden to high school, to the limited site, as well as doing extensive research on other schools in Europe, Canada and the US.
