This is a borj-bagh or garden-high-rise project where Tehran’s municipality allowed large gardens full of trees to build high-rises on 35% of the land as long as the trees were preserved. This municipal law has now been revoked since many of Tehran’s gardens were decimated under this law.
This is the second project we did for Nasser Moussavi, and this time we designed the whole building, the apartment plans, the facades, the lobby, the landscaping and the interiors of the apartments down to the minutest details. Of course, Nasser himself being an architect had a lot to contribute to the design.
